우리는 자주 “내가 이 길로 첫 걸음을 내딛게 되면 그 다음엔 어떨게 될까?”라며 궁금해 합니다. 

그러나 그것은 하나님이 하실 일입니다. 우리가 할 일은 오늘 순종하고 미래는 하나님께 맡기는 것입니다. 

시편기자는 "여호와께서 사람의 걸음을 정하시고 그의 길을 기뻐하시나니" (37:23)라고 말합니다. 

하나님이 주시는 오늘의 지시가 오늘 우리에게 필요한 전부입니다. 

조지 맥도날드는 “우리는 하나님의 교과서에 있는 다음 페이지를 이해하지 못합니다. 

단지 우리 앞에 놓인 것만 봅니다. 또한 우리가 그 페이지의 교훈을 배우기 전에는 다음 책장을 넘기지 못하게 되어 있습니다.” 라고 말했습니다. 

우리가 하나님의 뜻을 깊이 생각하며 매일 하나님이 보여주시는 방향과 경고에 순종한다면, 그리고 믿음으로 순종의 길을 간다면, 우리는 하나님께서 우리를 인도하심을 알게 될 것입니다. 

예수님의 말씀대로, “내일 일은 내일이 염려할 것”(마6:34)입니다. 

 We often wonder, 'Suppose I take the first step to the way. What will happen next?' That's God's business. Our task is to obey this day and leave the future to Him. The psalmist says "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way (37:23). This day's direction is all we need. George MacDonald said, "We do not understand the next page of God's lesson book; we see only the one before us. Nor shall we be allowed to turn the leaf until we have learned its lesson." If we concern ourselves with God's will and obey each day the directions and warnings He gives, if we step out in the path of obedience by faith, we will find that God will lead us. As Jesus put it, "Tomorrow will worry about its own things" (Matt.6:34). (heart)
